Managing Your Social Media Time

As small business owners, we are flooded with responsibilities because we wear many hats. Recently, I have noticed on many message boards, chat rooms and other blogs that people are trying to figure out how to fit it all in, especially, now that we have "responding to social media invites, managing linkedin accounts, etc." to add to our swelling list of business-related tasks.

Commit to two days each month, at least, to handle your social networking. Use, for example, the first day of each month to optimize your social network presence by updating your profiles, and to look for strategic partnerships and bartering opportunities. Use, for instance, the fifteenth day of each month to respond to invites, send invites or recommendations and to look for leads.

It's doable. But you do have to be committed to fitting it all in.

I find that my Mondays are very quiet. I use that day to post comments and new articles on social networking sites to fire up my work week.

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
