Jeez, I’ve been away for a bit to work on a few other projects to (a) expand our business and (b) so I could catch up, catch my breath and regroup!
The economy has been shockingly great to me, to a point where I’ve actually put a few of my other activities on hold. I took this time to explore ways to further improve our business. I always advocate that the best time to expand your business or explore ways to improve your business is when business is good. Never wait until you have no choice. It should always be an ongoing venture. You don’t think as clearly when you attempt to enhance business while in a panic state.
In addition, it gave me time to clear my head. Often, it’s not a vacation one needs, not in the traditional sense. Sometimes we merely need to step back and walk away from our routine so that we can see it with a fresh pair of eyes.
I did just that, and I feel like I had a B-12 shot!
Put your keyboard down. Take a walk. Breathe. Focus on some other aspect of your life or your business. Do this for a couple of weeks. If not weeks, then days. Do what you need to do to regroup and see your business from the outside. Get away from it for a little while. It’s refreshing, and it allows you to envision practical transformations and to come up with promising concepts that you can’t come up with when you're too close to it.

I was wondering where you were. I am glad to know you were out for a good and profitable reason. I tried that too and it worked, but I did it for my job - same difference.
